Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Cookies

Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Cookies

One of the number one topics in the Weight Watchers groups I'm in is meal plans, especially for those who only get 23 points each day. With the extensive list of zero point foods, technically we could do zero point days and still get all the nutrients we need. But Weight Watchers is about living life, and not having to be on a DIET.

Check out my other low point meal plans while you're here.

Weight Watchers Meal Plan for 23 Points a Day

Weight Watchers Meal Plan for 23 Points a Day

I've created these free meal plans for Weight Watchers to help you stay on track and to help motivate you in case you've fallen off the wagon as we all do from time to time. Taking the guesswork out of meal prep and planning is the goal here. Please leave your comments and questions below, and I'll try to answer them!

Related: Low Point Dressings

If you get more than 23 points, awesome! Simply add in some extra Weight Watchers snacks, cook with healthy fats to add points, or add nuts or other high point items in moderation to enhance the flavor and point value of your meals. Heck, you could even have one of these low point alcoholic drinks. My favorite is the margarita.

And, if you only get 23 points but still want that drink, go ahead and have it! Just fill up on zero point foods for one of your meals, so you don't go over your points. Or, use your weeklies if you have any left. I've had the best results with Weight Watchers when I eat my weeklies. Read this post to find out if you should eat your weeklies.

Weight Watchers Point System

If you're new to Weight Watchers, you may not know how the points work. Start with this list of zero point foods, and build your day from there. If Weight Watchers isn't in the budget, try iTrackBites It's a super cheap version of the Weight Watchers app, but you can choose ANY plan instead of only being able to do the Freestyle program. If you choose to do PointsPlus or SmartPoints, there are also many free calculators online.

Keep in mind, there is no Weight Watchers food. This is not a diet. It truly is a lifestyle change, and you can follow it for life, with great success – without depriving yourself.

23 Points a Day Meal Plan

I like to divide my points up evenly between meals on some days and eat higher points in the morning on other days. However, you divide your points up is totally up to you. Feel free to switch some of the days or meals around, or substitute for your favorites. The beauty of Weight Watchers is that it's 110% customizable by you. These plans are just to get you started and to help make your journey easier, especially during those busy weeks.

I allow up to most of my points for snacks and small meals throughout the day because I eat six times a day rather than just three meals. Because of this, you'll see the days add up to very few points on average. I like some wiggle room if I want to have ice cream, too.

One of my favorite in-between meal snacks is hard-boiled eggs, which are zero points. This leaves plenty of wiggle room if I want a higher point drink or snack when I go out with friends in the evening.

Servings can be small, so up your point intake by eating a double serving if you're still hungry.

Another thing: I like to utilize leftovers as often as possible! Use my Weight Watchers recipe index to find more recipes if you don't want leftovers.

Tiger Woods Wife Outrun Video Game

Tiger Woods Wife Outrun Video Game

Tiger Woods 'adultery' turned into game 1
Elin Nordegren chases Tiger Woods with a golf club in the flash internet game "Tiger Hunting."

MANILA, Philippines - Tiger Woods's marital woes have inspired an internet game.

The Flash game titled "Tiger Woods Wife Outrun" or "Tiger Hunting" plays like a racing game where a caricature of Tiger Woods rides a black vehicle-- along with a brunette woman who plays his mistress-- and has to outrun his wife Elin Nordegren-Woods, who is wielding a golf club.

Players must avoid obstacles on the road like babies in diapers, carboard boxes, fire hydrants, trees, golf trophies, a bag of golf clubs, potholes, garbage cans and rocks.

The player who avoids obstacles in the longest amount of time gets the highest score.

When a player runs over too many obstacles on the road, the Nordegren character catches up with the car and proceeds to bash the winshield, along with Woods's face, with a golf club.

Once a player runs over 7 or more obstacles, a score window pops up saying "This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me... I will certainly make sure this does not happen again."

The statement echoes a similar statement made by Woods on his official website after news of his affairs surfaced.

As of posting, "Tiger Woods Wife Outrun" has been played 2,666,975 times on gaming site www.break.com.

'Transgressions'

The game pokes fun at Woods's recent run-in with the law after he crashed his car against a fire hydrant and a tree while backing out of his driveway at an Orlando, Florida suburb.

The top golfer's wife, former model and nanny Elin Nordegren, was reported to have broken the car's rear window with a golf club to extricate him.

Shortly after the incident, US entertainment tabloids reported that the Woods couple were having marital problems caused by the golfer's multiple affairs with other women.

Woods admitted in a statement that he had committed "numerous transgressions."

Women who claim to have had sex with Woods on various occasions provided entertainment media some purportedly taped messages and testimony of the golfer's sexual encounters.

Woods, the youngest and fastest golfer to win 50 tournaments on tour, recently announced he was taking an "indefinite leave" from golf, reportedly to sort out his family problems.

I'm trying to figure out what the top speed of my stock 2008 650 should be. I'm only getting about 30mph, but is going into the shop for a tune up. It's getting the carb checked. I put a new air filter on yesterday, today it's a new spark plug. And oil change after the mechanic looks at it. I'm no mechanic, just the basics for me, what should the mechanic check?

Are you hitting the rev limiter when you're topping out? You should get 45 at least. How many miles are on the rig? If your belt is worn you would have less top end.

I was 45 stock, 52-55 with the Dynatek cdi. About 7800 RPM'S. after the belt and clutch change 40-45 at about 6000 RPMS, still trying to figure what killed my RPM's.

Alex Zanardi

Four-time Paralympic gold medallist Alex Zanardi has "started talking" again and "communicated with his family".

This was the latest assessment of Zanardi's condition by Federica Alemanno, a neuropsychologist at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan.

The Italian icon, who won two gold medals in Para cycling at both London 2012 and Rio 2016, is undergoing treatment at the hospital after sustaining serious injuries from a handcycling crash in June last year.

According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Zanardi underwent "awake surgery" - a procedure used by neurosurgeons to preserve and test the patient's brain function.

"It was a great emotion when he started talking, nobody believed it," said Alemanno.

"He was there, and he communicated with his family."

Zanardi continues to show signs of improvement in his recovery as some of his senses reportedly returned last month.

Doctors confirmed the 54-year-old was able to shake hands on demand and raise his thumb to signal "okay".

Zanardi's wife, Daniela Manni told La Stampa: "He does things, but not always.

"There have been steps forward, and there have been steps backwards.

"His is a very long journey."

Zanardi was placed in a medically-induced coma after colliding with a road vehicle during a race near Siena in June 2019.

He was moved to a rehabilitation centre only to return to hospital in late July, where he underwent a fourth brain operation.

In September, it was confirmed Zanardi had surgery "aimed at craniofacial reconstruction".

Two months later, San Raffaele hospital said Zanardi had "reached a physical and neurological condition of general stability".

Zanardi competed in Formula One and motorsport series during the 1990s.

In 2001, while racing in the Championship Auto Racing Teams, he suffered a life-changing accident and lost both legs.

Following the accident, Zanardi was fitted with two prosthetic limbs and after competing at the World Touring Car Championship turned to Para-cycling.

Zanardi has won six Paralympic medals, including four golds and two silvers.

He won road time trial golds at London 2012 and Rio 2016 as well as mixed team relay gold in Brazil and a road race gold in 2012.

The Frozen Black Edition comes loaded with pretty much everything else on the M3 options list, including the Premium Package 2 (power-folding auto-dimming mirrors, universal garage-door opener, power front seats, carbon leather interior trim, interior mirror with compass, BMW Assist with Bluetooth), the Convenience package (alarm system, keyless entry, rear park-distance control, voice-activated navigation, iPod and USB inputs), heated front seats, satellite radio, and the BMW Individual Enhanced premium sound system. The package, BMW says, is intended to celebrate the arrival of a whole line of "Frozen" paint colors to the BMW Individual customization program.

The DR750S Big started out as a racing bike and then became a popular big single off-roader. To put it in its time context, the DR came out in Europe at the very end of the 80s. The Yamaha Tenere, Cagiva Elefant et al, were racking in the sales, the Paris-Dakar was as popular in Europe as deodorant and everyone was making massive trailies that defied logic, comprehension, and most of the time, the riders who chose to straddle them as well.

While the DRs rally record was far from ideal, sales were good. And it isnt hard to see why. The bike I am about to ride, for instance, has survived the past two decades and more with almost no sign of wear and tear, with the help of a caring owner no doubt. And while a lot of bikes that old seem a bit faded and furry around the edges, the DR is as sharp as the tang of tequila in the back of the throat, and as I was about to find out, about as intoxicating as well. But before we go off roosting into the wilderness (a scary thought, since all my riding skills in the dirt are worth nought), let us just examine the bike a bit. You will already have noticed the GS-style twin mudguards a flat, short one on top just below the headlamp, and another one just above the front tyre. This particular motorcycle came wearing dual duty tyres front and rear, but full-knobblied DRs are, or rather were, supposed to be quite formidable in the right hands in Rally Raids of yore.

The massive tank hides what used to be the worlds largest single cylinder motor. The DR750S Big boasted a 727cc air/oil-cooled four-stroke single featuring an SOHC four-valve head layout. The big thumper produced 52 bhp (at 6600rpm) and an impressive 5.8 kgm of torque at a middling 5500 rpm. Also known as the Desert Express, the 179 kg juggernaut could pummel through the scenery at a frankly scary 150 kph, using its sheer weight and girth to pound ruts, bumps and holes into submission.

Which was all fine, only I couldnt start it. Thumbing the starter would crank the motor over, but it wouldnt catch. Then Raju showed me what looked like a second, slightly smaller clutch lever, above the full-size one. Decomp? Thats right. Starting the DR involves holding down the decomp with all your might, engine kill switch and ignition in the On position and then cranking it. And the moment you hear the first screech from the ignition you let the decomp go like youd dump the clutch for a wheelie.

The big single thuds into life quite readily once you know the trick and it sounds intimidating. Theres a big-inch bass note that is really nice to hear. At idle, the thuds are closely spaced and send little shivers into your palms through the grips. Its alive, I tell you.The gearbox is Suzuki-slick snick first, clutch out and youre off. In a hurry. The big motor obviously makes substantial torque from the off and it will catch you out if youre not careful. My task was to ride to the shoot location, which was across a dirt dam of sorts that rings a small lake on the outskirts of Pune. Yes, they handed me a big single, on my least favourite surface. And to help me out, instead of choosing a large, flat field with lots of run-off space, they hand me a two-metre wide rut, on top of a sixteen-foot tall bund. Framed perfectly by a deep, blue lake on one side and dense vegetation on the other (no doubt hiding all manner of sharp rocks, blood-thirsty wild animals and that sort of thing). My confidence, ebbing quickly, was restored by the Big, though. I remembered enough to stand up and stay on the throttle to get out of trouble.I did just that, and the road became a laugh. At a steady seventy kph in third, the DR rumbled away with no stress. Even I was impressed with the dust trail I had just created. And for that moment, Id forgotten my deeply rooted fear: I was going to lob this thing, myself in tow, into the lake.

Not wanting to let go of the confidence that I kept the throttle open, feeling the bike buck. Ever so often, the rear tyre would spin on a looser stretch, before the torque, weight and momentum dragged it back into line. The long travel suspension soaked up the worst of the rocky-dusty surface. Hell, it made me look like a hero. Until it was time to stop, that is. The 890 mm seat height hit home like a well-aimed Lennox Lewis roundhouse. As I gingerly fingered the front brake, down shifted to a crawl, I wondered if my feet would reach the ground. Maybe I wasnt going to toss it into the lake the days disgrace would come by pinning myself firmly and painfully under the bike. Thankfully, it worked itself out. And I didnt drop dead, from embarrassment or otherwise.

Later, I had the opportunity to ride the bike on properly tarmac-ed roads. Which was an eye-opener of sorts. The sheer weight of the bike, so obvious on the dirt (in good and no-so-good ways), seems to disappear somewhat and makes the DR quite enjoyable in a sort of lazy-tourer sort of way. At about 130 kph, the bike seems to float elegantly atop the tarmac, effortlessly thumping away the miles.

Later, I found that the Internet was full of stories of how the DR was best ridden leisurely and deliberately, on the road and off it. It wasnt the sort of bike you set lap times with, off-road or at Spa and it certainly didnt like being pushed around too much. Unless you were Gaston Rahier, of course, in which case you could drag it kicking and screaming to Lac Rose.

Like Suzukis Dakar record, the Big would fade into motorcycle history, though. It would get replaced by a marginally more powerful 779cc dual carb DR800. However, Suzuki would simultaenously work on other DR models reaching from 125cc to the full-options 800. The 650 and the 400 would become the most popular of the lot. Riders would find that the middle displacement models were a neat compromise between the small one and the Big.

Audi TT set to morph into all-electric crossover

Poor selling Audi TT prepares to transform into a new all-electric SUV. Our exclusive images preview how it could look

11 Oct 2019

Audi eTTron render - front

Audi bosses have finally settled on a proposal for the next-generation TT, which will morph into a fully electric crossover, Auto Express can reveal.

There has been a fierce boardroom battle within the German company over how the next TT should evolve. It's been a debate that has raged since 2014 when the firm's then-boss, Rupert Stadler (who was later charged and removed from his position for his involvement in the VW Group's Dieselgate scandal), proposed the idea that the model could develop into a petrol-powered five-door Sportback or crossover model.

• Best electric cars on sale right now

Since then, Audi has fast-tracked its electrification plans, and dwindling sales for today's TT have forced the firm into a radical rethink for the next model. So far this year, Audi has sold only 8,756 coupé and 3,362 roadster editions of the TT globally.

Auto Express understands that the upcoming, fourth-generation TT also has a working title, eTTron. This clearly indicates Audi's strategy to completely incorporate the model into its line-up of full EVs.

As previewed in our exclusive images, the model will morph into a sporty crossover, with a length of around 4.35 metres. That will make it more compact than a Q3 but, more significantly, it will be much lower.

There will also be a dramatic overhaul inside, too; the current TT set new standards in the industry with its digital cockpit display and absence of centre console. Audi intends to emulate that in the next model, with a cabin that will do away with switches and dials completely and rely on Tesla-style digital displays for the car's operations.

What has allowed Audi to take such a radical approach with the next TT is the availability of a wide range of dedicated electric vehicle platforms that have been developed for use across all of the brands within the VW Group.

Audi intends the keep the next TT roughly in line with today's model in terms of price point, so the firm has chosen to base the eTTron on the group's entry-level MEB architecture. The VW ID. 3 will be the first vehicle within the Group to use the new platform, and is expected to come to the UK market priced from around £26,000.

The eTTron will have a higher price point, expected to be close to £45,000, but the MEB architecture will provide Audi with a way of developing a successor to the TT without being forced to radically change its positioning within the market.

And much like today's TT, the flexibility of the MEB platform will enable Audi to develop multiple versions with varying degrees of performance. Standard entry-level versions of the eTTron will be rear-wheel drive, powered by a single electric motor developing upwards of 200bhp. At the other end of the range will be a model comparable with today's TT RS; driven by an electric motor on each axle for four-wheel drive, it will have a total power figure in excess of 400bhp. Three battery sizes, 45kWh, 58kWh and 78kWh, should provide a range of between 200 and 340 miles before needing to be recharged.

The eTTron will be one of 20 fully electric cars Audi intends to launch into the market by the middle of the next decade.

Successor Lotus Emira

The Lotus Evora is a sports car produced by British car manufacturer Lotus.[1] The car, which was developed under the project name Project Eagle, was launched on 22 July 2008 at the British International Motor Show.[4] The Evora S was launched in 2010 with a supercharged 3.5-litre V6. A facelifted and more powerful Evora 400 model was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show,[5] followed by another more powerful variant, the Evora GT430, which was unveiled in 2017.[6]

The Lotus Evora is based on the first all-new vehicle platform from Lotus Cars since the introduction of the Lotus Elise in 1995 (the Exige and the 2006 Europa S are both derivatives of the Elise).[7] [8] The Evora was planned to be the first of three vehicles to be built on the same platform.[9] The sales target was 2,000 cars per year, with prices between £45,000 and just over £50,000,[1] and sales in America scheduled from the beginning of 2010.[10]

Overview [edit]

The Evora is the first product of a five-year plan started in 2006 to expand the Lotus lineup[2] beyond its track-specialized offerings and produce a practical road car that would appeal to the mainstream market.[11] As such, it is larger than are recent Elise models and its derivatives (the Exige, Europa S, etc.), with an unladen weight of 1,383 kg (3,049 lb), with the automatic version weighing in at 1,442 kg (3,179 lb). The Evora is currently the only Lotus model with a 2+2 configuration, although it will also be offered in a two-seater configuration, referred to as the "Plus Zero" option.[1] The Evora and the BMW i8 are the only 2+2 mid-engine coupés on sale. The interior is larger to accommodate taller passengers, such as former Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley[1] and two people of 6'5" (195.6 cm).[12]

The cooled boot behind the engine is large enough to fit a set of golf clubs, although Lotus design head Russell Carr denies that this was intentional.[1] Lotus intends for the Evora to compete in different market sectors, including that of the Porsche 911.

Name [edit]

The Evora name keeps the Lotus tradition of model names that begin with an E. The name is derived from the words evolution, vogue and aura.[13] Other names considered were Eagle, Exira and Ethos; Eagle and Ethos were rejected because they would be difficult for Lotus to claim as a trademark.[2]

Specifications [edit]

The Evora is equipped with a mid-mounted, transverse, Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre 24-valve 2GR V6 engine. The Evora S uses the same engine but with a supercharger. Both versions are available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with "Intelligent Precision Shift," manufactured by Aisin.[14] The Evora has a drag coefficient of C d =0.337.[1] It is constructed on a lightweight aluminum tub with an additional front crash structure also made from aluminum, along with a steel rear sub-frame that houses the drivetrain. The chassis was designed to utilize proprietary 6000 Series alloy extrusions, which are bonded with an epoxy based adhesive and riveted together to increase torsional rigidity. The Evora also utilises a forged-aluminum, double-wishbone suspension with Bilstein high-performance gas dampers and Eibach coaxial coil springs. Hydraulically assisted power steering is included for increased maneuverability.

Models [edit]

Evora S [edit]

Lotus Evora S with Mansory body kit

In 2010, Lotus unveiled a high-performance variant of the Evora called the Evora S. The "S" in the name stands for "supercharged," but the engine is not intercooled. The car has the same standard design but is more powerful, now rated at 345 hp (257 kW; 350 PS) and 295 lb⋅ft (400 N⋅m) of torque powered by a new supercharger manufactured by Harrop.[15] The car's exhaust was also replaced with a single-tubed exhaust system. The suspension's dampers were recalibrated to suit the vehicle's new suspension characteristics, and the steering also received recalibration.

The car was able to accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 172 mph (277 km/h).

Lotus ceased production of the S in 2014 and later replaced it and the standard Evora with a new variant called the Evora 400 in 2015.

The Romanian police have an Evora S in their lineup as of 2012.[16]

Evora 400 [edit]

The Evora 400 is a new variant that replaces the Evora and the Evora S.[17] The "400" in the name is a reference to the vehicle's horsepower rating. The improved engine output of 400 hp (298 kW; 406 PS) and 302 lb⋅ft (409 N⋅m) of torque is made possible by an intercooled supercharger developed by Edelbrock. The Evora 400 has an all-new body kit design, which helps produce an extra 23 kg (51 lb) of downforce. The exhaust has a new driver-activated system that allows the driver to increase the roar of the exhaust. The interior was slightly revised, notably with narrower sills for simplified entry and exit, a new dashboard design and a new centre-console design. The wheel set was also different, with forged wheels as a new option. The wing was changed to a split rear wing. The car has a total weight of 1,395 kg (3,075 lb).

Acceleration from 0+60 mph (97 km/h) is at 4.1 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than that of the S variant. The 400 can attain a top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).

Evora Sport 410 [edit]

At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus unveiled the Evora Sport 410, a slightly enhanced version of the 400.[18] The car's 3.5-liter Toyota-derived V6 received a power increase by 10 hp (7 kW; 10 PS), for a total of 410 hp (306 kW; 416 PS). The torque was also improved to 310 lb⋅ft (420 N⋅m).

The exterior was changed with the addition of a carbon-fibre roof, tailgate and front access panel. The wheels were further lightened and a lithium-ion battery was fitted rather than the traditional lead acid version. Inside, the rear seats were removed and one-piece carbon-fibre bucket seats were fitted. Overall weight was reduced to 1,325 kg (2,921 lb).

The performance figures were improved with the 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration time now at 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h). However, if the IPS automatic transmission system is used, top speed is reduced to 174 mph (280 km/h).

Evora GT430 [edit]

In 2017, Lotus unveiled the most powerful variant of the Evora and also the fastest street-legal that Lotus has ever produced, the Evora GT430, though only 60 units were planned. The model is part of an entirely new range in the Evora family called the performance range.[19] The car's 3.5-liter Toyota-derived V6 has an increased power output of 430 hp (321 kW; 436 PS) powered by an Edelbrock supercharger and a titanium exhaust system. The torque figures were also improved to 325 lb⋅ft (441 N⋅m) for manual-transmission models and 332 lb⋅ft (450 N⋅m) for models with automatic transmission made possible by launch control and fast gear-change ratios. The GT430 is also the lightest Evora and weighs 1,258 kg (2,773 lb) for manual-transmission models and 1,310 kg (2,888 lb) for automatic-transmission models. The cars with automatic transmission weigh more because of the gear box and its cooling system. Top speed also varies for manual and automatic cars because of gearbox differences and the added weight, rated at 174 mph (280 km/h) for automatic cars and 190 mph (306 km/h) for manual cars. Because of the increased torque, the automatic-transmission cars have a slightly shorter 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration time of 3.6 seconds, compared with 3.7 seconds for manual-transmission cars. The GT430 also generates more downforce (250 kg at 190 mph) than did its previous variants.

The GT430 has a new and aggressive body kit that features a larger carbon-fibre rear wing, larger air intakes, forged aluminum wheels, polycarbonate lights and carbon-fibre bodywork to keep the weight low. The interior is also stripped down to save weight and the rear seats have been removed. The GT430 has carbon-fiber interior components and racing seats. It also features a plaque signifying the car's production number. The creature comforts are retained, with air conditioning included as standard.

Evora GT430 Sport and GT410 Sport [edit]

Later in 2017, Lotus unveiled another variant of the Evora GT430 called the Evora GT430 Sport. It features a more aerodynamic body and removes the GT430's rear wing for smoother airflow and reduced drag. This helps increase the top speed to 196 mph (315 km/h), with the automatic version having a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h) because of added gearbox weight.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Lotus unveiled the new Evora GT410 Sport. Available as a two-seater or 2+2, the GT410 Sport takes the GT430's basic shape and adds new composite front and rear body panels minus some of the 430's higher downforce pieces for a subtler shape. The revised front panel has larger carbon-fibre air ducts that move air around the front wheels more efficiently, cutting turbulence and drag. Deeper front and rear splitters and carbon ducts behind the rear wheels add downforce, which is increased by 211 pounds. Other carbon pieces include the front-access panel, roof panel and rear decklid. The car is powered by the same engine powering the rest of the Evora lineup, rated at 410 hp (306 kW) and 310 lb⋅ft (420 N⋅m) of torque, allowing for a 0-to-60 mph acceleration time of 3.9 seconds with the manual and four seconds with the six-speed automatic. The car weighs 2,859 lb (1,297 kg), 62 lb (28 kg) less than the 410.

Evora GT [edit]

In June 2019, for the 2020 model year, Lotus introduced the Evora GT for the North American market only. This car uses the same supercharged 3.5-liter V6 like the rest of the lineup but is rated at 416 hp (310 kW; 422 PS) and 317 lb⋅ft (430 N⋅m) for the manual and 332 lb⋅ft (450 N⋅m) for the automatic. Cars with the manual transmission feature a standard Torsen rear differential. Regardless of transmission choice, the 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration time is estimated at 3.8 seconds. The automatic version can reach 174 mph (280 km/h) and the manual's top speed is 188 mph (303 km/h). The GT uses some of the same aero components as the GT410 Sport, which helps it produce 141 lb (64 kg) of downforce at maximum speed. This variant of the Evora weighs between 3,104 lb (1,408 kg) and 3,199 lb (1,451 kg) depending on which options are selected. The optional Carbon Pack includes a carbon-fiber roof, rear tailgate, and front access panel which reduces weight by 49 lb (22 kg). The optional titanium exhaust reduces weight further by 22 lb (10 kg). The manual transmission weighs 24 lb (11 kg) less than the automatic. The Evora GT was discontinued after the 2021 model year and is set to be replaced by the all-new Lotus Emira in Spring 2022.

Special editions [edit]

Evora 414E Hybrid [edit]

In 2012, Lotus produced a prototype hybrid Evora, called 414E. Developed as a demonstration project for the UK Government's Technology Strategy Board, the range-extended electric coupe emits 55 g/km CO2 and has an electric only driving range of 30 miles.[20] When combined with the 3-cylinder 1.2-litre (1198 cc) petrol engine acting as a generator (as a similar manner to the Chevrolet Volt), the 414E has a range of 300 miles. The 414E formed the basis of the Infiniti Emerg-e concept car.[21]

Evora S Carabinieri [edit]

Lotus Evora S Carabinieri

In July 2011, Lotus Cars donated two Evora S models with special equipment to the Carabinieri, the Italian gendarmerie. Lotus also pledged to handle the maintenance of the cars and the training for the drivers.

Evora GTE Road Car [edit]

The Evora GTE road version is a variant of the Evora that was built to permit its racing variant to race under GT3 and LM GTE regulations.[22] Only 25 units of this special edition were built. The road car uses the race car's engine and produces 438 hp (327 kW; 444 PS), making it the most powerful Lotus ever made. The weight of the car has been lowered drastically to 1,277 kg (2,815 lb).

Motorsport [edit]

LM GTE [edit]

During the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus announced the Evora Enduro GT concept, as a follow up to the Type 124 and GT4 race cars. Lotus is aiming for this car to enter into the LM GTE category by mid-2011, with a 444 hp (331 kW; 450 PS) Toyota-supplied V8.

Lotus entered two Evoras at the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans, which were run by the Jetalliance Racing team. Despite overheating issues during practice and qualifying, car No. 65 finished 22nd overall, completing 295 laps, whilst car No. 64 retired after 126 laps. The cars ran highly tuned, naturally aspirated variants of its factory V6 engine, instead of the aforementioned V8.

In 2012, Jetalliance Racing failed to negotiate a deal to run the cars in Europe; instead, Alex Job Racing chose to run a LM GTE in the American Le Mans Series. Alex Job Racing did not get a good outcome from this however, and the car was later replaced by a Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 as the main race car for the team.

Group GT4 [edit]

Cor Euser Racing Lotus Evora GT4 at the 2015 12 Hours of Zandvoort

Ollie Hancock won the Nürburgring round of the 2010 GT4 European Cup season. A team including Johnny Mowlem, Stefano D'Aste and Gianni Giudici finished on the podium in the 2011 Dubai 24 Hour endurance race.[23]

In 2011, Stefano D'Aste was the first Italian driver after Mario Andretti to win on Circuit Park Zandvoort with an official Lotus car and the car was the Evora GT4. D'Aste was in first position of the GT4 European Series till the last race but due to a problem that occurred to the engine he got a third position in the series, which was still good, considering that it was the first year that the official Lotus Evora GT4 took part to a full season competing with cars like the BMW M3, Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage GT4, and the Chevrolet Camaro. The Evora proved capable of keeping up with these cars.

In 2012, Richard Adams, David Green and Martin Byford won the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship in a Lotus Evora GT4.

GT300 [edit]

Cars Tokai Dream28 Lotus Evora GT300 at Fuji Speedway

Cars Tokai has run a Lotus Evora since 2015 in the GT300 class of Super GT, with backing from Lotus Cars Japan. Engineered by Mooncraft, the Evora GT300 MC is built to the series' "Mother Chassis" regulations, and as such, is a silhouette racing car sharing almost no parts with its production counterpart. As with all other Mother Chassis cars, it is built on a Dome chassis and powered by a Nissan VK45DE naturally aspirated V8. The Evora took its maiden victory at Fuji Speedway in 2020.

Reception [edit]

The Evora received several accolades at its launch from the British motoring press, including: Britain's Best Driver's Car 2009 from Autocar [24] and Car of the Year 2009, from Evo. [25]

The car was reviewed by Jeremy Clarkson on the television show Top Gear. Overall his review was positive: he was very happy with the performance, handling and comfort. He was extremely impressed with the ride comfort even after driving it into a field saying "Here, the suspension is taking the knocks, not me." and described the car as "the only car I've ever driven, ever, which is a killer attack dog and an old sofa". However, he considered the rear seats to have not enough legroom, the interior felt tinny and the satellite navigation was sub-optimal.[26]

Road & Track put the Evora in #2 place in their annual "Performance Car of the Year" contest in 2017, noting the Evora is "fully deserving of the ACBC badge on its nose, this brave and charming two-plus-two is perhaps the finest over-the-road enthusiast vehicle available for sale at any price."[27]
